Sorting Through Print Requests
Upon returning to the print requests page, you are also able to use the magic search bar in the upper right corner to search for anything displayed on the page or that was included in the XML of the request, such as the serial number.
If the magic search bar is taking too long to respond, it is likely because there's too much data. There is another search method you can use to sort through larger volumes of requests. This is the custom print search engine.
The custom print search engine button is located in the upper right corner of the print requests page. By default, you are able to input the printer, service, format, or location to sort through, however, you are able to make modifications to the search attributes.
You can find the 'Manage Search Attributes' page under the history tab. You are able to add anything as a search attribute, such as any of the fields from the XML of the request/s you are searching for. Take notice that the data elements are case sensitive. Once you have entered a data element, click update at the bottom of the screen. You will see a notice, then click Okay. When you return to the 'Print Requests' page under the history tab and click 'Custom Print Request Search', your new field will be there.
When you search, it will display all of the requests from the past 365 days (for example) in order from newest to oldest. You are also able to delete search attributes by returning to the 'Manage Search Attributes', deleting the data element, and then updating again.
