The WMS module of Oracle’s E-Business Suite (EBS) can be configured for synchronous label printing through APIs. In this mode label XML files are generated and passed to Cipher via the Oracle provided hook package body, INV_SYNC_PRINT_REQUEST, or one of the other Cipher APIs installed in the EBS database.
It is important to note that you can generate labels to Cipher both asynchronously and synchronously at the same time depending on how you configure your profile options.
The following setups need to be completed in order to setup synchronous printing between EBS and Cipher:
